At 6 a.m. it's quiet

Its quiet at 6 am thank god...Today I will go to a 6 year olds birthday party with my 3 yr old son and then do homework for my software development class...I don't lead an exciting life but a meaningful one. I will be 38 in the next few weeks and it still purplexes me how fast my life has gone. All the boyfriends, all the parties, all the famous musicians, actors who just went into obscurity. Where did time pass, it's really strange to think my life will be half over soon, if I am lucky to live that long.
On a happier note school is progressing and I am 12 classes finished out of 17 at Capella university with a Bachelors degree in web application developement. I am hoping to combine my medical background (Rn for 15 years) with my computer knowledge, I hope I am not crazy in spending 20k to go back to school for an unknown career prospect and an online bs to boot, we will see.
We live in Frankfurt, Germany and will be moving back to the states in the summer sometime with a 1 and 3 yr old so it should be an interesting transition...

Yes time does go by rather quickly. And as it does our perspectives often times change. It is easy to fondly reminisce about the things we enjoyed as we grew up but it also reminds us of our time here and what is hopefully left of it. We find a mate, children, jobs and life changes, our perspectives and ideas about things change along with them. Perhaps to look at the amazement of it all is one perspective that will give us some bliss. I am fortunate to have my wife and son’s (the most important things in my life) and I wish that now that my life is most likely far more than half over I could have more time to enjoy them. But I can’t imagine how it could have been better.

Life is difficult but as with all of us we must take it as it comes, many of us with far more difficultly than others.

The IT classes will turn out to be a good thing, I’m sure of that!
